In Wordly Wise 3000 4th Edition Student Book 8, vocabulary instruction focuses on preparing students with strategies to unlock the meaning of words they will encounter in content area texts, literature, and high-stakes tests. Student exercises include: matching words and definitions, matching synonyms & antonyms, using words in correct context, discussion and/or writing extension ideas, and more.

Additionally, each student workbook (grades 2–12) includes 12-months access to pre-loaded Wordly Wise 3000 approved study sets via Quizlet. Quizlet technology allows students to practice learning words and definitions in an ad-free environment, test their knowledge, and play motivating games to reinforce long-term retention of words.
