The Book of Enoch is often described as "the lost book" of the Bible. This apocalyptic work appears to have been written in Palestine by several different authors in the first and second centuries B.C.
 
Early church fathers accepted it for hundreds of years, but it was rejected by the council of Laodicea in A.D. 364. Today, the Book of Enoch remains a written remnant of the Apocalypse—an ardent testament to hope and the triumph of good over evil in the dawning of a world to come. Filled with concepts of original sin, fallen angels, demonology, resurrection, and the last judgment, it is an important document to the origins of Christianity.
 
The Book of Enoch is a collection of several smaller works:
 
- The Book of Enoch
- The Parables
- The Book of Courses of Heavenly Luminaries
- The Dream Visions
- The Concluding Section
- The Noah Fragments
 
While each work is independent, they are all bound by the common theme: the punishment of the wicked and the blessedness of the righteous. This edition includes analysis and note for further study.
 
This translation by R. H. Charles allows contemporary readers to open up the Book of Enoch to challenge and test their faith to decide for themselves the authenticity and integrity of this ancient document.

Great Supplementary Reading!

This has great information that fills in the blanks where the Bible is silent or annoyingly succinct. Not to be confused with the inspired, infallible Word of God, but helpful for the study of the Bible. Highly recommend!
