Frankincense (Boswellia) and Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) have a rich heritage in the Christian tradition. These resins are produced by trees that grow alongside the Red Sea, the very sea the Israelites crossed when they escaped from Egypt. Frankincense and Myrrh, along with gold, were gifts given to Jesus by the Magi.

Traditionally, Myrrh was used as part of the holy anointing (Exodus 30:22) and Frankincense was part of the holy incense (Exodus 30:24). Additionally, Frankincense was part of the tabernacle offering and two golden cups of it were placed on the table of show bread, one for each row of six (Leviticus 24:7).

This anointing oil balm is made with a semi-solid mixture of extra virgin olive oil, beeswax, a small amount of petroleum jelly and fragrances of Frankincense and Myrrh. Packaged in a 1 5/8 x 3/4 inch round metal container with a screw tight lid, this anointing balm is portable and ready to go where you go. Keep your anointing balm secure in your pocket, purse, Bible case, or more. Use one dab at a time for multiple applications.
