Abeka's Handbook for Reading is a phonics-based language arts tool that helps students refine their reading comprehension and thinking skills. This handbook may be used for introducing phonics and reading, reinforcing skills, or for remedial work. This book follows the six steps to reading through ample exercises and reviews. Consonant-vowel blends are arranged to correlate with the sequence in which special phonics sounds are taught.

Supplementary materials, including the Teacher's Edition, are sold separately.
