In Wordly Wise 3000 4th Edition Student Book 10, vocabulary instruction focuses on preparing students with strategies to unlock the meaning of words they will encounter in content area texts, literature, and high-stakes tests including the ACT and SAT. Student exercises include: open ended questions, fill in the blank, communicating understanding, completing sentences with appropriate vocabulary, learning synonyms and antonyms, using words in correct context, discussion/writing extension and more. 

Additionally, each student workbook (grades 2–12) includes 12-months access to pre-loaded Wordly Wise 3000 approved study sets via Quizlet. Quizlet technology allows students to practice learning words and definitions in an ad-free environment, test themselves on their knowledge, and play motivating games to reinforce long-term retention of words.
